Help us plant some Wildflowers at Therrien Park as part of a no-mow and naturalization project with the Severn Sound Environmental Association. Meet up with us at the Penetanguishene Amphitheater at 5 pm on August 25th to join us on a nature walk beforehand to the park. Bikes, scooters and other forms of active transportation are also welcome. Participants are welcome to meet at Therrien Park if they prefer. After the demonstration, we will plant 100+ wildflowers at Therrien Park. Come back to the Amphitheater afterwords to head to the last Bayside Summer Soiree of the year.
- Dress for the weather! The planting is a rain or shine event - Wear sturdy footwear (rubber boots recommended) and bring work gloves - Severn Sound Environmental Association will supply the wildflowers loan shovels and give a planting demonstration. - A healthy snack and water will be provided by the Town of Penetanguishene.
