The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre is holding its first-ever Trivia Night Fundraiser at the Royal Canadian Penetanguishene Legion Branch 68. Along with lots of fun, skill-testing questions, the evening will include a spaghetti dinner, raffle prizes, and a $240 cash prize for the winning team. Teams of up to eight will be challenged to seven rounds of trivia on questions ranging from music and pop culture to sports and georgraphy, and everything in between. A team of 8 can register for $240 or individuals for $40 who will be linked to one of the teams.

The Marsh by Moonlight Paddle Series features a guided voyageur style canoe tour through the sparkling moonlight waters of the Wye Marsh. Twinkling voyageur canoes and boardwalk, night noises, Bannock roasted over the open fire accompanied with a hot drink will make for an unforgettable night!
Connect with nature and experience the Wye Marsh in a way that not many people have the opportunity to!

Take a step back in time to when oxen roamed the streets and fur traders came to our shores. Learn the history of and view original photographs of, many of the current homes and businesses on Water and Main Streets. Tickets are $7 each (FREE for children under 12) and must be pre-purchased. Friday is offers up clinics to introduce new players to the game as well as opportunity for players to warm up during open play sessions latar that day. Over the weekend, pickleball players from all skill levels can celebrate by playing in a flighted tournament (youth, men, women, and mixed divisions). Prizes for the tournament winners. Food will be available on site that weekend provided by Hippy Plates Catering. A special thanks to the Town of Midland for their support of the event.

Want to be more self sufficient? Want to connect with nature? Learn the basics about keeping bees. Not only does this 10,000 year old tradition provide honey, the bees from each hive also pollinate tens of thousands of plants! This is one workshop you don’t want to miss. All materials are included.
Our knowledgable Instructor will provide a demonstration using the Wye Marsh bees, as well as speak on how to get your own hive started – what steps to take, what tools you need, the time commitment, etc.
