Celebrate all things red and white with us on July 1st at Little Lake Park in Midland.  The day will kick off with our Canada Day parade, followed by a day in the park with face painting, kids activities, entertainment stage with amazing local talent, food, air bounces, laser tag and so much more.  Join us for fireworks at dusk in Little Lake Park.

Join the Friends of the Museum for Canada Day celebrations on July 1st, 11:00am to 6:00pm. Enjoy music, BBQ (Cash only), costumed characters Bluey and Bingo (1:00-2:00pm), inflatables, face painting, photobooth and more! Cannon fire and free cupcakes at 2:00 p.m. Admission is FREE and fun for all ages.

Summer Teen Advisory Group

Help MPL plan, implement & execute programs, services and collections for teens by teens.

Earn volunteer service hours for participating in our meetings and helping with library programs. Ages 12-18.

Resident Newcomers of Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay and Tiny are invited to Drop-In from 2-4PM at 598 King Street, (Calvary Baptist Church) to ask their questions and receive community information.

Information has been gathered from Municipal governments, County of Simcoe, Tourism Simcoe, Chamber of Commerce, local Members of Parliament, and community Agencies.  

Volunteer hosts are a mix of recent newcomers and established residents. Enjoy conversation over lemonade and cookies and return often!

Grab a lantern and discover the shadows of the past as you explore the darkened 17th 
century historic mission of Sainte-Marie.
Watch the sparks fly in the blacksmith shop. Roast bannock on a stick. Hear the 
creatures of the Wye River stir to life. Sip tea by the crackling fire in the longhouse, 
listen to Indigenous stories, and imagine what Wendake would have been like in the 
1600s at night.

This is a small-group experience. Advanced tickets are highly recommended to avoid 
disappointment.

Tickets: $ 20 tax included – not recommended for kids 10 and under

March back in time this summer as you embark on an extraordinary journey with us, stepping into the shoes of a 19th-century British soldier. Join us for an unforgettable adventure, offering a unique opportunity to live and breathe the fascinating world of the the British military at the Penetanguishene Establishment (today’s Discovery Harbour)

Arrival at 3PM and departure at 10AM

This overnight adventure costs $150.00, including tax, for adults and $60.00, including tax, for youth ages 10-15.

The Escape Room at Discovery Harbour is open 7 days week from May 18 – Sept 1!

Saturday evenings escapes rooms are availble from 6pm to 9pm. We also have 1pm and 3pm English timeslots available everyday and 11am French time slots offered Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. 

Teams will have up to 1 hour to escape from the Brig, using clues and solving puzzles. You will need at least 4 players 16 years or older to successfully complete the challenges.
